3rd day: Singapore - Bangkok

We spent the last night in the Marina Bay Hotel and Casino complex enjoying its facailities as much as possible.
Some facts about the complex taken from wiki:
The resort features a 2,561-room hotel, a 1,300,000-square-foot (120,000m2) convention-exhibition centre, the 800,000-square-foot (74,000 m2) The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands mall, a museum, two large theatres, seven "celebrity chef" restaurants, two floating Crystal Pavilions, an ice skating rink, and the world's largest atrium casino with 500 tables and 1,600 slot machines. The complex is topped by a 340m-long SkyPark with a capacity of 3,900 people and a 150m infinity swimming pool, set on top of the world's largest public cantilevered platform, which overhangs the north tower by 67m. Its construction costs were aat 8 billion USD and was opened in 2010.

We had almost the whole day to relax and wait for our transfer to the airport.

Just before leaving Singapore we checked out "The Gardens at Bay" with its 50m "Supertrees" connected with a suspension bridge.

With a local low cost airline, Tiger Airways we flew to Bangkok to continue our holiday. Just after 2 hours we landed in Bangkok and took a taxi to our hotel. There are no specifically good or bad neighbourhouds in Bangkok, everything is mixed. We went for dinner on the street around and had a delicious multicourse menu for approx. 4EUR in total for the 2 of us.

To close the long day in style, we walked to the neighbouring Banyan Tree Hotel and had a cocktail in its rooftop "Vertigo and Moon Bar" enjoying sweeping views over Bangkok.

Just as a remark to represent the contrast, we paid for the 2 cocktails 25EUR s. We going to spend the following 3 nights here and see as much as possible from histroric sites and peoples daily life.
