5th day: Last day in Kruger and driving to Pretoria

I wake up today at 4.30 a.m. in order to get my missing animal, the lion. The park is organising sunrise trips for visitors, since it is an active part of the day for the wildlife. The camps I visited were managed by the state, therefore being friendly in their prices. I paid for my 3 days including 3 guided trips around 150EUR.

There are several private camps in the park, where they warranty you to show the "Big 5" in one day. Those camps represent a different standard. They have their own airstrip to receive private jets, they employ trackers to find the animals and all meal is included in the price. For those camps you can easily pay between 1-10000EUR a day.

Although as you  can see above there is a rather big population of wildlife, spreaded over the 30000+km2 it becomes difficult to find and see everything.

At the end I was lucky and got my lion just walking along the road.

The rest was only a bonus on top of the last two days....

As a quick brunch I had a Kudu-wurst, since I had an other 400km to drive to Pretoria.
