1st day: Rocky Hill- Hartford / Connecticut

Where is it and why did we go there?
We have some relatives there and they were so kind and invited us to their place. It served us as a basis for our trip to Boston and New York. We spent our first day fighting the jet-leg and looking around in Hartford itself. You might never had heard about Hartford, but it is actually a major town on the east-coast concerning specific type of industry. Harftford is nicknamed the "Insurance Capital of the World". It has a population of around 120000  and houses several world-class institutions such as the Trinity College.

We walked around the city with uncle Steve, looking at the most famous building of the city, which has only two sides:). And really....
We immediately started to explore the culinary specialities of the States. We had some donuts with the cops and KFC with uncle Steve on the deck of their house.

We had also a project for that day i.e. buying some roller blades, which had a really important role just 2 days later. Agnes never ever had roller blades on her legs before, so I tried to teach her. We went also to the Elm street, looking for some excitement, but we found only some transparents calling for blood donation in the local church. It is a kind of weird I think.
